About Autumn Johnson

Autumn Johnson is currently the NBA 2K League’s sideline reporter. She has attained her Broadcast Journalism and Emerging Media degree while minoring in Sports Marketing from Kennesaw State University in July 2018.

Autumn was a three-sport athlete playing basketball, softball, and running cross country. Playing sports has given her the advantage to create engaging basketball content by understanding an athlete’s perspective of the game. Being an athlete has also taught her how to be a team player, passionate, coachable, and a quick learner.

At the age of 24, Autumn has five years of live, digital, and print experience working for professional and collegiate teams. Within these opportunities, her work consists of producing daily ideas, shooting, writing scripts, editing, interviewing and posting content on the web and social platforms all under a strict deadline. Autumn has great experience working in a chaotic environment, yet staying calm within the storm.

Personally, the best part of being a sports journalist to Autumn is having the opportunity to tell athletes stories in a fashion that is informative, entertaining, and innovative. She thoroughly enjoys the research portion of this role. Her main goal in each story is to deliver a new perspective of an athlete’s story that the audience was unaware of until tuning in. Autumn loves the fact she talks about sports for a living and is able to call a court and/or field her office!
